Demonstration of imputability or root cause: 
Donor seropositive /Recipient seronegative for T. gondii. Died of disseminated Toxoplasma infection on day +40 post transplant.  Tissue staining  revealed intracellular aggregates in lung, heart, CNS, characteristic of the early tachyzoite phase of acute visceral infection.  No cyst walls and no distitinct granular PAS reaction  which are seen in chronic infection. PCR in blood, serum brochalveolar lavage (BAL).
