Most recent risk assessment for ovarian cancer (Council of Europe, 2022): Ovarian cancer is considered an unacceptable risk for organ donation. Ovarian cancer in the donor history: Treated ovarian cancer is considered high-risk for organ donation. Depending on initial stage, grade, therapy and time of recurrence-free survival (> 5 years), the risk category might decrease individually.

Approximately 6 months
Alerting signals, symptoms, evidence of occurrence: 
Notification of center when the other recipient developed cancer (Notify record 1544); This patient had intermittent fevers. On workup, a mass was found in the retroperitoneum involving the iliac and aortic lymph nodes. Findings similar to other patient, who had donor-transmitted ovarian mucinous adenocarcinoma.
Demonstration of imputability or root cause: 
Both kidney recipient from the same donor developed adenocarcinoma shortly after transplantation.The origin of the malignancy was confirmed from the other donor by Karyotyping in one of the recipients.
