Abstract | A 30-year-old woman received a cadaveric renal allograft from a donor who was subsequently found to have renal infection due to Histoplasma capsulatum. The recipient had funguria in the early postoperative period and later developed cutaneous manifestations of disseminated histoplasmosis. We report a case of histoplasmosis transmitted via renal transplantation and describe the subsequent 20-year clinical course. |
