Patient received two apheresis platelet transfusions from A) a donor with peanut allergy and B) subsequent apheresis platelet transfusion from a donor who had ingested peanuts. Immediately, patient developed pruritits and hives at time of transfusion. Four days following the index transfusion, while at home, she developed peri-oral and peri-orbital edema, and epiphora immediately after consuming peanut butter.

Suspected passive transfer of IgE peanut antibodies following transfusion of platelet concentrate.
