Certain. Genotyping of parasite strains from the donor and recipient; recipient was negative for malaria by serological and molecular tests until day +11. Donor sibling tested negative 3 times by thick film before donation; remained asymptomatic but tested positive for P. falciparum by blood PCR; donor sample from 3 months pre-donation was retrospectively positive for P. falciparum antigen.
