Laboratory finding of positive microbiological culture of media samples after the corneal storage, in the last medium sample taken before the tissue is dispatched.
Demonstration of imputability or root cause:
The tissue can be discarded before transplant. However the surgery schedule is affected and it may produce some distress to the candidate patient and the surgeon.
