A fever developed with severe headache and generalized myalgia 5 days after PBSCT. On the 11th day, generalized nonpruritic maculopapular rash was observed. The donor’s serum tested positive for antibodies against Orientia tsutsugamushi by indirect immunofluorescence
assay (IFA).
