Demonstration of imputability or root cause: 
The majority of the valves came from donors having Coroners' post mortems with a high incidence of TB (Crompton (1974 personal communication in Anyanwu) with 0.2-0.3% of Coroners cases estimated to have had TB. One case attributed to donor valve cold abscess.
