METHODS: Review of the literature and a case report of a 69-year-old woman who underwent penetrating keratoplasty for Fuchs corneal dystrophy and developed persistent corneal infiltrates 7 months postoperatively are presented. RESULTS: Cryptococcus albidus was cultured from the original donor tissue at the time of the repeat keratoplasty. CONCLUSION: This case demonstrates an unusual case of cryptococcal keratitis after keratoplasty suspected to be a donor-to-host transmission.}, keywords = {*Disease Transmission, Infectious, *Tissue Donors, Aged, Corneal Ulcer / *microbiology, Cryptococcosis / etiology / *transmission, Eye Infections, Fungal / etiology / *transmission, Female, Fuchs{\textquoteright} Endothelial Dystrophy / *surgery, Humans, Keratoplasty, Penetrating / *adverse effects, Middle Aged, Reoperation}, issn = {0277-3740 (Print) 0277-3740 (Linking)}, doi = {00003226-200510000-00024 [pii]}, url = {internal-pdf://de Castro - Cryptococcus_albidus_Keratitis-1218305792/de Castro - Cryptococcus_albidus_Keratitis.pdf}, author = {de Castro,L.
